Leaks that may occur in pneumatic control valves:
(1) Valve leakage
Due to the improper length of the valve stem, the upper and lower parts of the valve stem are too short, resulting in incomplete contact between the valve plug and the valve seat, resulting in valve leakage.
(2) Packing leakage of pneumatic control valve
The pneumatic control valve installs the packing into the stuffing box, and the packing applies axial pressure to the control valve. Due to the plastic deformation of the packing, radial pressure will be generated and the contact with the valve stem will be tight, but the contact will be uneven. During operation of the pneumatic control valve, the valve stem and packing will move axially. In a high-temperature and high-pressure environment, leakage is likely to occur due to high permeability.
(3) Deformation and leakage of the spool and seat of the pneumatic regulator
Corrosion and impact of the pneumatic control valve will deform it. Over time, there will be a mismatch between the spool and seat. There is a gap between them. Loose gaps can cause leakage. If the pneumatic control valve leaks, you must first rule out the above problems.
